Charism

We are a community of priests and brothers striving to live the Gospel of Our Lord Jesus by a faithful following of the Rule of 1223 of Saint Francis. The essential elements of our way of life are a joyful and loving fraternity, prayer, consecration to the Immaculate Virgin Mary, poverty, penance, manual labor, minority, and fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Likewise, we evangelize by various means including preaching, pro-life work and service to the materially poor.

Solitary retreats in remote hermitages are also an important part of our way of life. These are currently located in the town of Bellingham, MA and in Mary Theotokos Retreat Center in West Burke, VT. Three to four times a year we choose to escape from city life and be alone with Jesus for extended periods of silent adoration and prayer.
